Located at the Entrepreneurship Laboratory of Faculty of Economics undip, a national seminar was held organized by the Islamic Economics Student Association (HMEI) of Faculty of Economics Undip. This national seminar is entitled Islamic Economics Project (ICEPRO) with the theme “Halal Life Style For A Better Millennial’s Generation”.

Strengthening the Halal Lifestyle at the National Level
Present as the first speaker, Sukoso as the Head of the Halal Product Assurance Organizing Agency (BPJPH), revealed that Indonesia must excel not only in terms of quantity, but quality as well. “Not only is it superior in terms of quantity of the Muslim community, but Indonesia must be superior in terms of the quality of its Muslim community.” According to him, there are many things that must be addressed in terms of the quality of halal products in Indonesia, so that the halal lifestyle is more acceptable and applied by all Indonesian people who are Muslims.

One of the efforts to improve the quality of halal products in Indonesia is to form a Halal Product Assurance Management Agency (BPJPH). The agency has the authority to determine halal certification of a product with several principles including: Traceability or tracing from the beginning to the end of production how the product is created, Gray Area or checking whether the use of technology can affect the halalness of a product, as well as conducting regular testing. The role of the community in guaranteeing halal products is also very necessary, including supervising products in circulation, making complaints and reporting to BPJPH and every community is entitled to direction and socialization from BPJPH.

Branding Halal Life Style Through Public Speaking
The second speaker of the Icepro national seminar was Muhammad Hafid, a TVRI presenter and reporter. In this session, the speaker explained how to promote or brand a halal lifestyle to the millennial generation through public speaking. “Public speaking is the ability to speak in public that is pleasant to hear and makes people who pay attention can be interested in what is being talked about,” said Hafid. According to him, with public speaking all information about the halal lifestyle can be conveyed, as long as the public speaking is presented attractively and by the rules. When we talk about the halal lifestyle, the first thing we have to pay attention to is the content or what content we are talking about. Second, gestures are impressive or gestures and there is a message or impression conveyed to the audience. Third, reciprocity or reciprocity, because the person who is speaking in public is like a leader at that time.

Istiqamah with Halal Life Style
The last speaker in the seminar was Chiki Fawzi, a Muslim traveler. Chiki tells about her experience of how to become a Muslim woman or hijab but still be able to become a traveler and animator whose work has been recognized by the international world. She also told how she volunteered and was active in social projects in various regions in Indonesia, as well as her experience traveling to various tourist destinations.  “Where when we are Muslims, there will be a lot of obstacles encountered, for example, difficulty finding mosques, difficulty finding halal food, and meeting people who are not of the same faith as us,” said Chiki.

When Ckiki traveled abroad, it also encountered many obstacles faced, such as language barriers with the local community, difficulty determining the time of worship, and difficulty finding halal products. Therefore, when we want to use certain products abroad, we must pay attention to the ingredients or ingredients of the product.

ICEPRO 2019 national seminar can be attended by around 300 participants. Acik Febrianti, one of the seminar participants gave his response after attending the seminar. “This year’s Icepro seminar is very good, the event is neat, on time, the speakers are interesting and the committee looks very ready to hold the seminar,” said Acik.
