Semarang, March 25, 2025 – The Faculty of Economics and Business at Diponegoro University (FEB UNDIP) celebrated its 65th anniversary with a solemn Khotmil Quran ceremony, followed by an inspirational talk (tausyiah) by renowned novelist and Islamic scholar, Ustadz Habiburrahman Al-Shirazy (Kang Abik). The event, held at the FEB UNDIP Entrepreneurship Building, was attended by faculty members, staff, and students, reinforcing the university’s commitment to integrating Islamic values in academic and economic development.
In his opening remarks, Prof. Faisal, S.E., M.Si., Ph.D., Dean of FEB UNDIP, emphasized the importance of making Quranic recitation a consistent tradition. “It is our hope that this becomes a sustained culture—every year, on FEB UNDIP’s anniversary, we gather for Khotmil Quran with lecturers, staff, and students. Alhamdulillah, this year, we have achieved 20 complete recitations (khataman) of the Quran,” he stated.
The event continued with a tausyiah by Ustadz Habiburrahman Al-Shirazy, who delivered a profound message on the role of divine blessings in achieving success. “The struggle for greatness is not only about physical, economic, or intellectual strength. The blessings of the Quran will always illuminate the path to prosperity. FEB’s efforts in advancing the economy with Islamic principles serve as a vital instrument in a nation’s success,” he explained, referencing Quran Surah Al-Anfal verse 60, which highlights that the weapons of victory are not limited to swords but also include a just Islamic economy. During his talk, Kang Abik also captivated the audience by reciting a poem dedicated to the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
